Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about qualifying referrals, payout timing, eligibility, and how the Artemis Referral Partner Program works.
What qualifies as a referral?

A referral is a net-new company (not an existing or recently active Artemis client or prospect) that you introduce to Artemis as a potential customer for staffing, recruiting, or consulting services, and that we are not already actively pursuing.

To qualify for a referral fee, that company must (1) engage Artemis under a signed agreement and (2) generate billable work resulting in gross profit (e.g., a successful placement or staffed/consulting engagement) within a defined time window from your introduction, such as 6–12 months.

Do I need to use a unique link?

You do not have to use a unique link to qualify, but every referral must be clearly attributable to you in writing (email introduction, in person, submitted form, or similar) so we can track and confirm it.

If we provide you with a unique link or code, using it makes tracking easier and reduces disputes, but referrals submitted through direct warm introductions or the referral form can still qualify as long as we can verify you as the source.

When do referral fees get paid?

Referral fees are typically paid after the referred client has signed an agreement, a qualifying placement or engagement has started, and any minimum performance period has been met (for example, 30-60 days after placement or a set number of billable days).

In most instances, we will pay within 30–60 days after the placement is invoiced and the client has paid, and after any required tax documentation (such as a W‑9) is on file; your terms should specify the exact timing and any holdback window.

Are existing Artemis clients excluded?

Yes, existing or recently active Artemis clients are usually excluded from referral fees to avoid double-paying on business we already have.

In practice, a referral is only eligible if the company has not been an Artemis client or qualified prospect within a defined lookback period (commonly 6–12 months); if we are already in active conversations or have billed them recently, they will not count as a new referral.

Is the referral fee guaranteed?

No. Referral fees are contingent on the program rules being met: the referral must be qualified, become a new client, and generate successful, billable placements within the program window.

Your terms should also reserve the right to decline or reduce a fee if there are disputes, early terminations, chargebacks, or if the engagement does not meet minimum thresholds; this is standard in referral and recruitment commission programs.

Can my referral fee be donated to charity instead?

Yes, you can structure the program so that a referrer can elect to have some or all of their referral fee donated to a qualified 501(c)(3) charity in their name, Miracles for Kids is our default charity of choice.

Typically, the donation is processed after the placement or engagement is verified and billed, and you would outline that (and basic charity eligibility) in your terms; this can sit alongside standard cash payouts so partners can choose which option they prefer on a per-referral basis.
